Incoming Modular Triggers, ES-9, miRack, AUM, and Koala

I’m wondering if someone might help with a riddle I can’t solve….

The Goal - Send a trigger from my Modular to the ES-9, have miRack (hosted in AUM) receive that trigger in the audio input module, convert the modular trigger to a midi note with the midi trigger output module, and send that note to Koala (also hosted in AUM) in orður to Play a long form sample.

In standalone mode I can get my incoming triggers routed correctly (flashing jacks. Yay!), but I can’t seem to properly route that to Koala.

When miRack is being hosted in AUM I can only use the host sync clock output to accomplish my goal, which only means I’m doing something right. I can’t seem to even figure out how to properly setup AUM and route the interface input to miRack. When miRack is at the input, there are no audio inputs. When AUM is in a plugin slot, I can’t seem to properly route the ES-9 to the audio input module.

Alternatively, if there’s a better way of triggering samples in miRack that would eliminate my need to use midi to communicate between miRack and Koala.

TIA
