I’m not very conversant with SVG, but I did manage to create a very simple file with nothing but a gray rectangle and tried to import it as background. Can you provide more details about the requirement for these files?
nvm. It was apparently a problem with my use of Affinity Designer for exporting the file. I’ve managed to get things working.
But I have a suggestion: Many components, such as the EO-102 scope display come in with a transparent background and they’re essentially invisible without some custom background rectangle behind the object. Making a background to work around that is tedious and inflexible if the layout needs to change.
If there could be some way to set the panel background color without a background SVG, or if you could set the alpha channel of those components to a solid color once duplicated, it would sure make life easier.
