Patches get very messy with all the cables so the hide cables function is great, however, it would be nice to be able to see the last X [variable selected by user] amount of cables you’ve patched, this way everything would be extremely clear AND clean.

I second this request - although, there are several ways you could implement this, I’m not sure which would be best.

As Matt suggested above, only show the last x number of cables patched.

Hide all currently patched cables, showing any new connections made after the button is clicked.

An option to hide cables per module - double clicking a module gives an option to hide all cables patched to that module.
Personally, I think 3 would be best.

IceB those are good ideas.
Another few options :
Cable tension so to cables aren’t hanging over a row you’re working on.
Or the ability to hide all cables on selected rows.
